Ordnance Survey - Find Your Way campaign
I have had a fascination with contour lines and maps for as long as I can remember and find the simplicity of the lines can create something quite beautiful. I initially began contouring some of my favorite mountains within the Lake District; Scafell Pike, Helvellyn and Blencathra, by stripping them back I found that they create some really visually appealing shapes and become a piece of art within themselves. Once each 3 x 3km section of map was drawn I applied the simplistic design to a range of media, such as: Limited edition prints, gift cards and hand printed tote bags, which I then intended to sell. Upon further thought I had the idea to create an awareness campaign for Ordnance Survey and to get people involved and share there experiences through using the OS mapping services. The Find Your Way campaign creates awareness and exposure, not only for Ordnance Survey but also what you can achieve by using their products and stepping out into your own adventure. The incentive was for the general public to use the OS app and social media platforms to upload and share their Summit Selfies for a chance to win a monthly OS goody bag which contains a range of the products that I initially designed.
